CAIRO – 17 December 2018: UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw, held on Monday afternoon, resulted in a tough clash between German giants, Bayern Munich against Liverpool.

“At this stage it doesn’t matter who you get, it’s going to be a difficult game. Our first game at home, we’ve got to try to take advantage. The atmosphere’s going to be incredible at Anfield, I just hope that can help us as well.” Liverpool’s legend, Ian Rush, commented on the draw.

The first leg will be played in February in Liverpool and two weeks later the second leg will be played in Germany.

Manchester City fans are the happiest in England as the draw put them against Schalke which is suffering in the domestic League.

The other two English teams are facing tough tests as Manchester United will face the title contenders, Paris Saint Germain while Tottenham Hotspurs will meet Borussia Dortmund, which is the German League leader.

Barcelona and Real Madrid were lucky as the draw put the Catalan giants against Lyon who never achieved any victory over Barcelona, while the defending champions, Real Madrid will face Ajax.

Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Spain once again as his team, Juventus, will face Atletico Madrid while Roma and Porto will challenge each other for a spot at the quarter finals.
