CAIRO – 18 October 2018: Egypt’s great comeback against Argentina secured the Bronze medal for the Pharaohs.

Egypt Futsal Youth Team defeated Argentina 5-4 at the third and fourth places match in the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics at Buenos Aires.

Egypt achieved the Bronze medal for the first time in the history of Futsal game in the third edition of the Youth Olympics and it became the first Olympic medal for any Egyptian team in the history.

Argentina started the game in an amazing way when they lead the match 3-0 as Ezequeil Ramirez scored two goals while Augastin Ragatti scored one goal.

In the second half, Egypt made the history when Mohamed Talaat scored four goals and Salman Mohamed Ahmed scored one goal.

Egypt Futsal Youth Team’s amazing run at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics came to an end when they lost 3-1 to Russia at the semi-finals.

Egypt secured qualification to the semi-finals as the group leaders with three victories over Panama, Iraq and Slovakia and a draw at the opening game against the host nation, Argentina.
