CAIRO- 16 October 2018: Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) Referees Committee has selected Tunisian referee Youssef Srairi to take charge of Zamalek clash against Al-Ittihad Alexandria at the Arab Club Champions Cup round 16 first leg on October 27.

Anouar Hmila and Yamin Al- Malushi will be the assistant referees of the game.

Zamalek fans have known Srairi since 2015 as he has officiated Zamalek game against Moroccan club, FUS Rabat, at 2015 CAF Confederation Cup round of 16 that ended with 3-2 victory for Zamalek.

The Tunisian referee has also officiated Zamalek clash against Algerian club MO Béjaïa at CAF Champions League round of 16 that ended with a 1-1 draw.

Al-Ittihad hopes to continue their surprises at the competition and eliminate Zamelek after they knocked out Tunisia’s giants, Esperence, at the first round.

On the other hand, Zamalek, who achieved the title once in 2003, will count on their experienced players to reach the quarter finals.

Zamalek will play a friendly game against Porto Suez on October 21 to prepare for the game against Al-Ittihad.

UAFA Referees Committee has also selected Jordanian referee Adham Makhadmeh to officiate the Al-Ahly game against Emirati club Al-Wasl and Kuwaiti referee Ali Mahmoud for Ismaily clash against Raja Casablanca.
