CAIRO – 15 October 2018: Egypt Futsal Youth Team ended their group stage games at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics with a 2-1 victory over Slovakia on Saturday Oct. 13. Moamen Morsy and Belal el-Sayed scored Egypt's goals at the game.

Egypt secured qualification to the semi-finals as the group leaders with three victories over Panama, Iraq and Slovakia and a draw at the opening game against the host nation, Argentina.

Argentina accompanied Egypt to the semi-finals after they secured the second place in the group.

Egypt are set to face Russia on Monday Oct.15, while Argentina will face their arch rivals, Brazil.

Russia achieved three victories out of four games at the group stage and their only loss came against Brazil by 6-1.

The Egyptian team, led by Saleh Hashem, consists of: Abdel Rahman al-Garwany, Ragab Ramadan, Ahmed Karam, Mohamed Morsy, Mohamed Ahmed known as Hammo, Mohamed Talaat, Belal el-Sayed, Mohamed Ali, Moustafa Abdel Magid and Youssif Mohsen.
