CAIRO – 10 August 2018: Ismaily announced on Thursday that they have reached an agreement with their defender, Baher Elmohmaady, to renew his contract with the club till 2023.

The player was linked with a move to Zamalek, where he played for six months on loan in 2016, but in the end he decided to stay at his childhood club.

Elmohmaady, born in Ismailia, joined their academy when he was seven and he stayed there for two years and then he moved to Cairo where he played six years for Enppi.

Ismaily resigned their defender when he was 15 and since then he established himself as one of the promising talents at the club.

The 21-year-old defender earned his debut at the first team when he was 19 against Haras El Hodoud SC at the League and since then established himself as one of the key players at the club.

The defender participated at Ismaily’s goalless draw against Petrojet at the second fixture of the League but he missed their opening game against Al-Ahly that ended with a 1-1 draw.

The player prepares with his teammates to face Kuwait at the Arab Club Champions Cup round of 32 first leg on Sunday night.
