CAIRO – 17 July 2018: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi congratulated his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, after the French national team won the World Cup for the second time in history.

France managed to win the 2018 World Cup held in Russia, after the team gave a great performance through all the stages of the tournament, to be a second well deserved World Cup trophy for Les Bleus.

The French president attended the final game between his national team and Croatia, alongside with another 14 world leaders, including Valdimir Putin and Croatia President Kolinda Kitarovic. Macron went to the lockers room and celebrated with the players after their great achievement.
