CAIRO – 18 June 2018: Tunisia will face England on Monday night at their opening game of the 2018 World Cup in Volgograd Arena, Volgograd.

Ali Maaloul, the defender of Al-Ahly and Tunisia, was in doubt to participate in the game after he picked an injury during training sessions but he was named at the starting line-up.

The Tunisian manager, Nabil Maaloul, announced Tunisia's line-up for the game which consists of:




Goalkeeper:
Mouez Hassen

Defenders:
Syam ben Youssef, Yassine Meriah, Dylan Bronn, Ali Maaloul

Midfielders:
Ferjani Sassi, Ellyes Skhiri, Naim Sliti, Wahbi Khazri

Strikers:
Anice Badri and Fakhreddine Ben Youssef.

“There is enormous pressure on us as we represent Africa and the Arabic world and 12 million Tunisians who are behind us," Tunisia manager, Maaloul, said ahead of the game.




Tunisia players hope for a better result than their game at 1998 when they lost to England 2-0 at their opening game of the group stage.

Tunisia plays in Group G alongside England, Belgium and Panama.
