CAIRO – 5 May 2018: Al-Ahly officials notified three of its players who are loaned to local and Arabic players that the team needs them to return in the summer transfer window.
Al-Ahly recalled Mo’men Zakaria, who is loaned to Al-Ahli club of Saudi Arabia, and Ahmed Al-Sheikh, who also plays in Saudi Arabia but for Ettifaq, which he joined during the latest transfer window in a loan transfer. The third player is Naser Maher, who plays in the Egyptian Premier League with Smouha.
Al-Ahly head coach Hossam el-Badry declared the need to recall these three players, as the team is suffering at the current moment from a lot of absences owing to injuries, which resulted in losing to Zamalek in the Cairo derby; being knocked out from the Egyptian Cup competition after losing to Alassyouty; and finally drawing with Esperance in the CAF Champions League on Friday.
