CAIRO – 13 April 2018: Zamalek’s men have avenged their defeat in last year's Handball African Super Cup against their traditional rivals, Al-Ahly. The White team won their fifth title in their history after winning 21-20 in the 25th edition of the championship.

Zamalek played the game after winning the Handball African Champions League, while Al-Ahly was African Cup Winners champion. This game was the second in a row, as Al-Ahly achieved their first African Super Cup title last year in Morocco against Zamalek.

Zamalek will represent Africa in the upcoming IHF Super Globe, which will take place in Qatar in August.

The White Knights added the 20th title to their African records to be the second in the list of the clubs winning the most African titles, after Al-Mogama El-Petroly from Algeria.

Zamalek won 10 African Champions League titles, 5 African Cup Winners titles and 5 African Super Cups.
