Marsa Matrouh’s contingent Al-Ragaa snatched a goal in the final clutching moments, beating Baladeyet Al-Mahla to officially ensure its return to the Premier League after being relegated to the league’s second division in the 2014-15 season.

Al-Ragaa striker Mahmoud Hambouzo fired in the 95th minute to score a goal which utterly shattered al-Baladya’s hopes of reaching the country’s most prestigious championship.

The game was one of high-strung back and forth action; with possession shared equally between the two sides.

The game’s last minutes witnessed a massive brawl caused by the sending off of an al-Baladya player for physically attacking a player of the opposition side.

Along with Al-Ragaa, Egyptian football will also have Al-Assiouty and Al-Nasser SC competing in the Premier League next season for the first time since their relegation in the 2014-15 season.
