CAIRO – 30 March 2018: News of Robert Lewandowski’s possible departure from Bayern Munich ignited German and Spanish media, especially after the interest shown by the Spanish giants Real Madrid.

However, Karl-Heinze Rummenigge, the executive director of Bayern Munich, is 100 percent confident that the Polish striker will remain in the Bavarian club next season, according to the German newspaper BILD.

Robert Lewandowski is reportedly ready to force through a move to Real Madrid this summer, according to the Spanish newspaper AS.

Bayern should announce at the end of the season that they were forced to sell the Polish player to respect the values of the club that Lewandowski decided to reject. But first, they want to make a final decision about his replacement; Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and Paris St. Germain’s Edinson Cavani appear in the list of his successors, along with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

Lewandowski scored 100 goals in 121 appearances for Bayern since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

James Rodriguez will remain at Bayern, but will not be part of the expected deal between the two clubs.

James joined Bayern Munich last summer on a two-year loan from Real Madrid. The Colombian winger left Madrid after the lack of participation he was forced to endure with his team under their French manager Zinedine Zidane.
