CAIRO – 4 March 2018: Zamalek SC board member Ismail Youssef revealed on Friday that Ahmed El Shenawy, Zamalek’s goalkeeper, has renewed his contract with the White club for three more years.

Zamalek’s president Mortada Mansour had a meeting with El Shenawy on Friday night to decide his future.

El Shenawy’s contract will expire at the end of the next season but his extension for two more years plus the next season will guarantee his presence in Zamalek for the next three years until 2021.

Ismail Youssef assured to Zamalek SC’s official website that El Shenawy’s new contract does not include any release clause.

El Shenawy moved to Zamalek in 2012 on loan from Al Masry then on a permanent contract from 2014.

He featured in 26 games this season; he conceded 21 goals and had 11 clean sheets.

The 26-years-old achieved the Egyptian league title once in 2014/2015 season and three Egyptian Cup titles in 2013, 2015, 2016. Also, he helped his team win the Egyptian Super Cup once in 2016.
