CAIRO – 26 February 2018 The draw for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, hosted in 2019 by Niger, was revealed on Sunday. It resulted in a tough confrontation between Egypt and Senegal in the second and final round of qualifying.

Egyptian youth team will face Senegal on May 11 in the first leg then will host the African team on May 19 at Cairo Stadium in the second leg.

CAF has exempted the Egyptian youth team from the first qualifying round to be held at the end of March.

Egypt will face the winner of Congo vs (Botswana or Namibia) at the final round if they defeat Senegal.

Botswana faces Namibia in the first round then the winner is set to meet Congo in the second round.

The Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations is the main international youth football competition for CAF nations; the teams are made up of players aged 20 or under.

It is held every two years with the top four teams qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
