CAIRO – 19 February 2018: Liverpool’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, revealed on Monday that manager Jurgen Klopp’s tactics are behind the goals he scored this season.

“With the boss here, I play a little bit closer to the goal, more so than at any other club or more than any of my other coaches have asked me to," Salah told Liverpool's official match-day program.

Salah has reached 30 goals with Liverpool in his first season with the club, including 22 goals in the Premier League.

During Salah’s last season in AS Roma, he managed to score 17 goals in the Italian League and UEFA Champions League.

Salah added, “I am always in front of the goal to give me the opportunity to score. The manager is always telling me to stay close to the goal in training.”

Asked about missing many chances this season with the team, Salah said, “I know that I have missed many chances too this season. But I am trying to improve. I am always trying to see my weaknesses and then work on them, and I am always trying to score in different ways.”

Salah led Liverpool to the third position in the Premier League table, behind Manchester City and Manchester United.
