CAIRO – 7 February 2018: Liverpool’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, revealed that he has supported Liverpool since he was a kid and wearing their jersey was his childhood dream.

“I have loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for. I knew the history this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen,” Salah told FourFourTwo magazine.

Salah joined Liverpool last summer from Italy’s Roma for £35 million ($48.5 million) and since then has established himself as a key player on their attacking line.

Salah is the club’s top goal scorer in the league with 21 goals, and he is only one goal behind the league top goal scorer, Harry Kane.

Salah added, “I'm happy scoring goals for the club I supported as a kid – that's all that matters."

Salah revealed the reason behind leaving Roma to join Liverpool, saying, “I was comfortable at Roma; I had two great seasons there and I was very happy, but I've always been the sort of guy who takes a chance to put myself under pressure."

Salah was a key player during his time at Roma and he had a great role with the club in his last season, scoring 15 goals in 31 league appearances, according to BBC.
