CAIRO – 30 January 2018: After many rumors, young Enppi striker Salah Mohsen has joined Red Castle, Al-Ahly SC announced on their official website.

Al-Ahly didn’t announced the amount of fees that have been paid for this signing, but it is expected to be approximately LE 35 million ($2 million), reportedly the most expensive signing in Egyptian football history.

Salah Mohsen’s deal is the most controversial signing in years, as Zamalek has been fighting to sign the young striker while Al-Ahly succeeded to secure their attacking position with the talented forward.

Salah Mohsen has been linked to some European clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Olympique de Marseille, as stated by Enppi’s president, but he preferred to join the Red Devils.

Salah Mohsen starred this season with Enppi and managed to score seven goals in 17 games in the Egyptian League, which became a major goal for many clubs.

Salah Mohsen is Al-Ahly’s fifth signing this winter market after Mohamed Fakhry from Ghazl el-Mahalla, Aly Lotfy from Enppi, and Mahmoud Al-Gazzar from Kahraba Ismailia.
