CAIRO– 28 January 2018: Spain faces Sweden at 2018 EHF European Men's Handball Championship final on Sunday night at Arena Zagreb, Croatia.

Spain qualified to the final after defeating the World Cup Champions, France, 27-23 on Friday.Meanwhile, the Swedish team qualified after beating Denmark 35-34.

The final will combine the most successful team in the competition, Sweden, who won the title four times against the unluckiest team in the competition, Spain, who reached the final four times but never won the title.
Sweden reached their first final since 2002 when they won the title at home defeating Germany 33-31.

The Spanish team depends on their top goal scorer in the competition, FerranSolé, who scored 31 goals, while the Swedish team depends on their goalkeepers, Mikael Appelgren and Andreas Palicka.

The winner will secure a place at the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship at Denmark and Germany between January9 and 27, 2019.
