CAIRO – 21 January 2018: Egypt’s national handball team faces Angola on Sunday in the 2018 African Handball Championship. Egypt players hope to continue their amazing run in the competition.

Egypt national team manager Marwan Ragab prepared his team for the clash against Angola through watching videos of the opponent to analyze their strong points.

Egypt opened their participation in the tournament defeating Morocco 33-28 on Wednesday, and then achieved their second victory the day after against Nigeria 27-22.

The draw was held in November and put Egypt in Group B alongside Angola, Morocco, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The best three teams in the tournament will qualify for the 2019 Men's World Handball Championship in Denmark and Germany.

Three Arab nations have dominated the winner podium since the tournament’s inception. Tunisia has won nine titles, Algeria has won seven titles and Egypt has won six titles.

Gabon hosts the 23rd edition of the tournament between January 17 and January 27, 2018.
