CAIRO – 28 December 2017: Paris Saint-Germain FC Brazilian winger, Neymar Jr Da Silva, described his injury against Colombia in the 2014 World Cup quarter finals as his worst memory in his football career.

“That injury was my worst moment and that week I cried, I saw my mum and dad crying, everyone sad, my friends and family," Neymar told press on Wednesday.

Neymar was tackled by Colombian defender, Juan Zuniga, three minutes before the final whistle in the game that Brazil won over Colombia 2-0.
Brazil played the semi-finals against Germany without Neymar and lost 7-1.

Neymar spoke about the situation after the injury, “They took me to the hospital in the stadium where they said the good news is that you are going to be able to walk, two centimeters more to one side and your football career would have been over."

The Brazilian winger returned to his former team Barcelona after the World Cup and his team won the 2015 Spanish League, the Spanish Cup, UEFA Champions League, Spanish Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

He left Barcelona last summer to join Paris Saint-Germain for €222 million, making him the most expensive player in history.
