CAIRO - 14 December 2017: Round 17 of the English Premier League continued on Wednesday with seven matches.

Manchester City secured an easy 4-0 victory over Swansea City during a cold night at Liberty Stadium in Wales. City is still the leader with 49 points in 17 games.

Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Agüero and David Silva who scored on two occasions led their team to an outstanding victory.

David Silva, known as the "canary," was once again the star. He had some great matches recently and helped his team to achieve important victories. He continued his amazing performance in the game against Swansea.

Silva took the lead in the 27th minute after a brilliant assist from Bernardo Silva, Manchester City's midfielder. In the 34th minute, Kevin de Bruyne doubled the score to make it 2-0.

David Silva scored the second goal for himself and the third for the "Citizens" in the 52nd minute to make it 3-0 before Sergio Aguero ended the game in the 85th minute with a goal assisted by the Ivorian Yaya Toure.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's coach, has accumulated 15 consecutive wins in the Premier League and surpassed Arsenal's 2002 record. It is the only team to achieve this in the history of the competition.

At Old Trafford, it was not easy for United to overcome its derby's loss, when Manchester United was defeated 1-2 by Manchester City in the previous round.
Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United defeated Bournemouth by only1-0 thanks to United's striker Romelu Lukaku.

The criticized Belgian striker Lukaku did not celebrate his goal. He has been criticized for only scoring against weaker teams. None of the 10 goals he has scored in the Premier League was against the top-6 teams.

Lukaku scored his goal in the 25th minute after a great cross from his Spanish teammate, Juan Mata. After the goal, United didn`t pose any danger on Bournemouth`s goalkeeper Begovic.

Manchester`s goalkeeper David de Gea had to intervene to block a shot from Defoe and saved the three points for the team.

Manchester United is now second with 38 points, still 11 points behind the leader Manchester City.

Klopp's Liverpool team stumbled again after their 0-0 draw in the local derby against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield stadium. Liverpool is fifth with 31 points in 17 games.
Also West Ham left the Emirates Stadium with one point. Arsene Wenger's Arsenal could not find a solution to West Ham’s defense. The game ended in a draw and left Arsenal seventh in the table with 30 points.

Tottenham beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0. The goals of Sergie Aurier and Heung-Min Son allowed the Spurs to return to the top four with 31 points. In the remaining matches of the day, Everton beat Newcastle (0-1) with a goal by Wayne Rooney and Leicester City thrashed Southampton (1-4).
