CAIRO – 4 December 2017: The national team tennis player, Sandra Samir, wins the women’s Futures tennis tournament held in Cairo, Egypt, after defeating her Croatian opponent, Nastja Kolar, in the final match. In a game that lasted for an hour and 42 minutes, Samir managed to beat her opponent by two sets, with no reply, 6-4 and 6-1, respectively.

The 20-year-old player currently holds first place in Egypt’s ranking, and the 412th position in the world’s table. Sandra has already won three other titles on hard groud in tournaments held in Sharm El Sheikh in 2015 and 2017, however, this is Samir’s first title on clay courts.

Sandra reached her best rank in the world’s table on December 27, 2016, when she occupied the 379th rank.
