CAIRO – 1 November 2017: Former Zamalek player Junior Agogo has voiced his struggles after recovering from a stroke he suffered two years ago.

The stroke affected his confidence and left him struggling with big social segregation.

“I had thoughts but I’m saying, where was my voice? I was baffled, man,” Agogo told BBC.

Agogo suffered a stroke in 2015 which led to further complications. he was diagnosed with Aphasia which affects his ability to talk.

“I am anxious about the language. I can find the words, but I am anxious because I am afraid if I get a word wrong,” Agogo said.

“Did this happen often? Yeah, many times. He is just struggling to bring out a particular word he wants to say and that word is not coming out,” Agogo’s mother added.

Agogo played for Zamalek between 2008 and 2009. He only featured on 11 occasions, scoring three goals for the team.
