CAIRO – 27 October 2017: Egyptian Football Association President Hany Abo Rida will represent Egypt at the 2018 World Cup draw in Russia in December.

Abo Rida will lead Egypt’s delegation in the event, which consists of Egypt national team manager Ihab Lehita, Egypt national team assistant coach Mahmoud Fayez, and EFA members Karam Kordy, Ahmed Megahed and Magdi Abdel Ghani.

Egypt qualified to the 2018 World Cup after defeating Congo 2-1 on Sunday, October 8 at Borg El Arab Stadium.

Egypt plays in Group E, alongside Ghana, Uganda and Congo. Egypt tops the group with 12 points, while Uganda places second with 8 points, Ghana third with 6 points, and Congo at the bottom with a single point.

On the other hand, Abo Rida will lead Egypt’s delegation travelling to the UAE for a friendly game on November 9 before heading to Ghana for the last game of the qualifiers on November 12.
