Salah highest voted best player of CL third round

CAIRO – 19 October 2017: Liverpool’s forward Mohamed Salah is most likely to win best player of the third round of the Champions League after his great performance in the last game on Tuesday against Maribor.

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah was the highest voted player in a poll on the European Football Association's (UEFA) official website that aimed to title one of eight players as the best of the Champions League’s third round, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Salah was on the list after leading his team to a 7-0 victory over Maribor, who scored two goals and made a third.

The eight players also running for the title alongside Salah are: Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Cenk Tosun (Besiktas), Quincy Promes (Spartak Moscow), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United).
