CAIRO – 9 October 2017: The Egyptian National Team manager, Hector Cuper revealed on Monday to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) members that he will change his defensive tactics in the World Cup.

“I achieved my goal to qualify to the World Cup; I will add many players to strengthen the squad and I will make many changes to add attacking roles to the players,” Cuper told EFA on Monday during their visit to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Cuper added, “I am happy to have all these great players who made all Egyptians happy.”

Cuper was criticized from the Egyptian media for his defensive tactics during the qualification games.

He spoke about his future with the Egyptian National Team saying, “I am happy here in Egypt, and I will continue my contract unless the EFA decides to sign Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola.”

Egypt defeated Congo 2-1 on Sunday to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia to end 28 years of absence, as the Egyptian National Team last played in the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
