CAIRO – 8 October 2017: As expected, Saleh Gomaa will start the match on Sunday against Congo to substitute for injured player Abdullah Al-Said, Pharaoh's game maker.

Coach Hector Cuper preferred to start with Ramadan Sobhi instead of Mahmoud Trezeguet.

The announced formation will be as follows:

Goalkeeper: Essam Elhadary

Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Ramy Rabia, Ahmed Hegazi, Mohamed Abdel Shafy

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Mohamed El Nenny, Saleh Gomaa

Forwards: Mohamed Salah, Ahmed Hassan Koka, Ramadan Sobhi

October 8 will be another triumphal day for Egypt beside October 6, as the national team has a big chance of making 104 million Egyptians happy if they manage to defeat Congo in the game held at Borg Al Arab, 7 p.m. Cairo local time, in the fifth round of the African qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup.

Egypt is now the leader of its qualifiers group with nine points meanwhile Uganda comes second with eight, Ghana is third with six points, and Congo has a single point in the fourth and last place. After Sunday’s match there will be only one round in the qualifiers, so if the Pharaohs manage to grab victory today, Egypt will not have to wait to the last round.
