Cairo – 4 October 2017 : The Argentinian national team doctor, Donato Villani, said on Tuesday that Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero will be out for six weeks after his accident on Friday, September 29, in Amsterdam.

“He is feeling very bad emotionally because he really wanted to come and play (for the national side), but this incident has ruled him out of both games,” Villani told TyC Sports.

Aguero missed Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Saturday, and he will miss Argentina’s two decisive games in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Peru and Ecuador.

Villaini added, “he is going to be out for a month and a half minimum. He is unable to leave his house, or get in or out of the car. He was feeling very bad, because he wanted to be here."

Argentina is suffering in the qualifiers. The team shares fourth place with Peru with 24 points, and they need to win the remaining two games to secure a place in the World Cup.
