CAIRO – 1 October 2017: Real Sociedad hosted on Sunday afternoon Real Betis in a crazy game that ended with a 4-4 draw at Sociedad’s stadium, Anoeta.

Sociedad started the game trying to leave behind the negative results of the past three weeks and return to the form they had at the start of the season, when they won three consecutive games.

The game didn’t start as Sociedad fans hoped when Betis’s striker, Antonio Sanabria scored the first goal five minutes into the game. Two minutes later, however, Willian Jose equalized the score for Sociedad.

Mikel Oyarzabal scored Sociedad’s second goal 26 minutes in, but two minutes was all it took for Betis to equalize the goal.

Betis scored their third goal 46 minutes in, with an excellent effort on Sanchez Joaquin’s behalf, only for Sociedad’s Xabier Prieto to tie the score eight minutes later.

Betis tried to finish the game by scoring their fourth goal only minutes before the final whistle, however, the team failed to defend their goal against Diego Liorete, who scored the fourth goal for Sociedad and ended the game with a draw.

Real Sociedad reached 10 points to place eighth, while Real Betis reached fourth place with 13 points.
