CAIRO – 25September 2017: The Egyptian Kung Fu team`s flight departed from Cairo airport to Kazan, Russia on Sunday to participate in the 14th World Kung Fu Championship.

The tournament will be held in Russia from September 26 to October 6.

The Egyptian delegation included twelve players headed by the team manager, Hussein Abdel Mawgod.

Egypt officials have handled their travel procedures through the Turkish Airways. They will land in Istanbul, Turkey, then they will take another flight to Russia.

Egypt won the 6th African Wushu Kung Fu Championship and ranked first in Wushu Sanda and Taolu – martial art styles, at the African championship held in Benin on July 19 to July 24.

Wushu Sanda is a martial art which was originally developed from the study and practices of traditional Kung Fu. It is considered one of the two components of Chinese martial arts training and is often taught alongside Wushu Taolu – or forms of training.
