CAIRO – 17 September 2017: Bayern Munich earned a comfortable 4-0 win over Mainz. Bayern Munich are looking to get back on track to defend their title after this victory. Thomas Mueller, the German striker, gave his team the lead early in the 11th minute. Arjen Robben, the veteran winger, doubled the score in the 23rd minute.

Robert Lewandowski effectively secured the points by converting a magnificent cross from Muller. Lewandowski doubled his efforts and scored his team’s fourth goal.

Bayern Munich haven't lost any of the 75 the Bundesliga games in which Thomas Muller has scored at least one goal.

"That's why we won today," said Robert Lewandowski. "We had a lot of room to play in and were very flexible going forward, which was so fun to play in. We were not static and created a lot of chances."
