CAIRO - 10 September 2017: The Egyptian women’s national volleyball team lost the match 4-2 against the Dominican national team on Sunday in the third edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship 2017.

The Egyptian team played against the Dominican national team on Sunday at 2 p.m. as their opening match in the championship, which is being held in Slovenia from September 10 to 17.

The Dominican national team scored three points by beating Egypt. After the first set, which Egypt won, the Dominicans dominated the game.

Egypt will meet the Chinese national team on Monday at 5 p.m. On Tuesday they will play against Thailand and on Wednesday they are scheduled to face Argentina at 2 p.m. The final match of the group stage for Egypt will be on Thursday at 8 p.m. against Slovenia.

Egypt qualified to the championship after having failed to qualify for the first edition in Mexico and the second edition in Ankara.
