Avoid joining Barcelona: Neymar’s advice to Coutinho

Cairo - 29 August 2017:Brazilian winger Neymar Jr. advised his national team colleague Philip Coutinho to avoid joining Barcelona, according to “As” Spanish newspaper.

The newspaper does not refer to a clear reason behind Neymar’s advice. Brazilian newspaper “Estado” also reported that Neymar said to Coutinho not to join Barcelona any more during their participation in the Brazilian national team camp, as they are getting ready for the match against Columbia and Ecuador in the South American 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Neymar also confirmed to Coutinho that he won’t regret Liverpool’s decision to not allow him to transfer to FC Barcelona, according to Brazilian media reports.

Neymar and Coutinho have been friends for many years, as they first met back in 2008 at the International Mediterranean Cup in Girona, where they played for Brazil's U-16 team.
