CAIRO – 22 August 2017: French legendary number 10 player Zinedine Zidane spoke on August 21 to the FIFA youtube channel. He was asked to recall some of the best things throughout his career.

Talking to the FIFA’s youtube channel, Zidane revealed his best of the following: football item, match, gift, advice, and World Cup match.

Zidane said, “the best item in my football collection are my shoes from the World Cup final of 2006. The best match in my career was with Real Madrid against Bayern Leverkuson in the 2002 Champions League final. Also, my match with the French National team against Norway, 3-3 in Marseille.”

On the best French player Zidane said, “oh, that’s a tricky one, I can’t think of a name.” He added, “the best advice is the advice my dad gave me to work hard. It’s the best advice because without work we can’t do anything. The best gift I received is perhaps my child, that’s the best gift for me.”

Zidane concluded, “the best ever World Cup match… I don’t know if it’s the best. I don’t know if it’s our game. I remember the best game for France, it was against Germany in 1982, I was 10 years old. This is the first great memory, but the best team I don’t know because there has been too many. But, the game between France and Germany was very powerful.”

Zidane is now the manager of Real Madrid. He managed to win two consecutive Champions League trophies, one Spanish League title, and several trophies with Real Madrid in less than two years.
