CAIRO – 17 August 2017: The Egyptian Wrestling Federation, headed by Hassan al-Haddad, decided to suspend Ahmed Hassan “Boucha”, the youth national team player did not return with the rest of the players to Cairo after the World Championship in Finland during the past few days.

The decision to suspend the player until his return to Cairo and to undergo investigations was based on the recommendations made by the legal affairs of the federation after opening an extensive investigation into the player's escape. The legal affairs had investigated the youth team coach because he is supposed to have the player’s passport, but the player got his passport and fled to Sweden.

The Wrestling Federation held an emergency session to discuss and adopt the recommendation of the legal affairs.

Boucha the national team wrestler failed to return with the Egyptian delegation to Cairo and fled to Sweden where one of his relatives lives after he stole the passport from the coach's room.
