CAIRO – 13 August 2017: The Egyptian Basketball Women’s Team are preparing for the African Basketball Women Championship that is held in Mali from August 18 to August 27.
The Egyptian women’s team are currently preparing for the tournament before travelling in the next few days to Mali. Egypt is set to play against Democratic Republic of the Congo in their first game of the tournament on August 18.

The tournament is divided into two groups. The first group has the following teams: Mali, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Angola and Central African Republic. On the other side, Group B has the following teams: Egypt, Senegal, Guinea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria and Mozambique.

On a similar note, the Egyptian women’s team won the Arab Championship after beating Tunisia with a score of 74-62 on August 10.
