6 Egyptian qualified to 16 stage at World Junior Squash Championships

CAIRO – 21 July 2017: Six Egyptian players from the national squash junior team qualified for the round of 16 at the World Junior Squash Championships held in New Zealand from July 18 to 29.

Hanya El Hamamy qualified to the next stage after beating Hong Kong’s player Ka Wing Ho 3-0, and her team-mate Zaina Mekawy followed Hanya and qualified after defeating the South African Faith Sithole 3-0, Nada Abbas also qualified to the stage of 16 after beating the Indian Aishwarya Bhattacharya 3-2 , Rowan Araby smashed the Canadian Nicole Kendall 3-0, also Jana Shiha defeated another Indian player Akanksha Salunke 3-0, and completed Amina Yusri six-Egyptian qualified players after her winning over the champion of the Czech Republic Kristýna Fialová 3-0.

Hanya El Hamamy will face Chan Yiwen from Malaysia in the next round, while Nada Abbas will meet the American Marina Stefanoni, Rowan Al Araby will face her teammate Janna Shiha, Amina Yousri faces the Hong Kong champion Lui Hiu Lam and Zaina Makkawi to the Malaysian Aifa Azman.
