El Shennawy is out for two weeks due to injury

CAIRO, 17 May 2023: Al Ahly’s goalkeeper, Mohamed El-Shennawy, will be ruled out from matches for two weeks due to an injury to the calf muscle.

According to Ahmed Shobeir, ON Sport pundit; El Shennawy had radiography testing that proved his injury in the calves, and he will be absent for two weeks from the matches.

Koller would have started with El Shennawy against ES Esperance, then he would push Ali Lotfi or Mustafa Shobeir as a substitute in the second half.

But after the El Shennawy’s injury, Koller decided to give Ali Lotfi the chance especially that El Shennawy is suspended in the league matches due to the red card he`s given against Smouha.

Al-Ahly had succeeded in achieving a 3-0 victory over ES Esperance at Rades Stadium in Tunisia, in the first-leg match that brought the two teams together last Friday evening.
