CAIRO –17 July 2017: Al Ahly wins the 114th Egyptian Derby against Zamalek, becoming the 42nd league game win for Al Ahly in the games between the two teams. Al Ahly won 2-0 on Monday in the last fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al Ahly attacking midfielder Walid Soliman started the scoring in the 41st minute of the first half from a headed pass from Junior Ajayi, putting the first the ball in Zamalek’s net, defended by Zamalek goalkeeper Omar Salah, while Ajayi strengthened Al Ahly’s situation by scoring the second goal by placing a shot on the left of Salah’s net.

Al Ahly has guaranteed the Premier League title a few weeks before the end of the competition, while Zamalek now will stay in the third place of the league’s table.
