Security authorities allow 50,000 fans attendance for Al Ahly vs Al Hilal match

CAIRO, 22 March 2023:  Al-Ahly obtained the approval of the security authorities for the attendance of 50,000 fans in their match with the Sudan’s Al Hilal, thanks to the Minister of Interior and security leaders for agreeing to the presence of this large number of fans for the first time in a long time.

Sundowns secured their qualification to the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, after reaching 11 points. The second place will be decided between Al Ahly and Al Hilal in their match next April 1.

Sundowns occupies the top of the second group with 11 points, while the Sudanese Hilal comes in second place with 10 points, Al-Ahly in third place with 7 points, and Cotton Sport in fourth place without points.

Al-Ahly played its matches in the African Champions League this season at Al-Salam Stadium, with an audience of between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators.
