CAIRO, 29 March 2022: The juniors of the South African golf team led the first round of the African Championship for juniors and girls under 18, which is currently being held at Palm Hills golf courses, with the participation of 12 African countries.

 
The South African boys are the African title holders and the first and strong candidate to win the championship.

The player Pascal Gunter topped the individual competitions, scoring 6 under par after hitting 66, followed by Zimbabwean Paul Wallace, recording one under par, and then South Africa's Daniel Bennett, one over par.
 
While in the women's competitions, the South African player Olivia Browne topped the summit, recording 5 hits below par with her 67 hits, then Morocco's Sofia Sharif with two hits above par, and similarly the South African Lucinda Kera.

As for the results of the Pharaohs, Omar Al-Mahdi and Muhammad Abul-Ela scored 8 hits above par, Taymour Rabei 11 hits above par, Salim El-Abyari 12 hits above par, Farah Bali 15 hits above par, followed by Sameh 17 overpar, and Mia Hussein 19 hits above par.
