The opening of the U-19 African Golf Championship with the participation of 12 countries

CAIRO, 27 March 2022: The U-19 Golf African Championship under 18 golf, which will be hosted by Egypt from 27 to 31 March, will start on Sunday, at Palm Hills golf courses, with the participation of 12 African countries.
 
Twelve countries are participating in the tournament: South Africa, Morocco, Mauritius, Tunisia, Namibia, Botswana, Uganda, Kenya, Gabon, Zimbabwe and Zambia, in addition to Egypt, the host country.
 
The tournament will witness the youth competitions with the participation of twelve countries, and the female competitions with the participation of only 9 countries.
 
Egypt is participating with an average age of 15 years, boys and girls, with the aim of preparing them and preparing them for the upcoming tournaments, and all of them are appearing in Africa for the first time.
 
The opening ceremony will witness today at 4:00 p.m. the parade queue ceremony, the speech of the Egyptian Golf Federation, then the African Confederation of the game and a technical paragraph for one of the Pharaonic teams, then announcing the opening of the tournament and launching the kickoff.
 
The opening will be attended by Dr. Mohamed El-Damiati, on behalf of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, African Union Vice President Johnson Omolo, the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Golf Federation headed by Eng. Ayman Hussein and his deputy, Taymour Abu El-Khair, members Ghassan Qabbani, Maher Waheeb, Eng. Khaled El-Serafy, Mohamed Atallah and Omar al-Taweel, and the ambassadors of African countries.
