CAIRO, 27 February 2022: Zamalek team suffered a 1-3 loss against Moroccan Wydad by in the match that brought the two teams together yesterday at Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca.The match was in the third round of the group stage matches of the African Champions League.

The goals of the match were scored by Zamalek's Ahmed Sayed Zizou in the 4th minute, and Wydad Zuhair Al-Matraji equalized before Amin Farhan added the second goal in the 37th minute. Then, Yahya Gibran scored the third and final goal in the 88th minute of the match.

 

With this result, Zamalek occupies third place in Group D with two points from 3 matches, while Angolan Petro Atletico leads the group with 7 points, followed by Moroccan Wydad with 6 points.

 

For his part, Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek club, made phone calls with the big stars of the team and demanded them to assume their responsibility towards their fans and make every effort to achieve their ambitions, correct the situation and return to their previous era.
