CAIRO, 6 February 2022: “Enjoy the final, as it is a moment that does not repeat often and fight.” This is how Mohamed Salah, captain of the Egyptian national team, sent his message to the Pharaohs players before the 2021 African Nations Cup final against Senegal.

Egypt will face its rival Senegal on Sunday, at the Olympic Stadium in the Cameroonian capital, Yaounde, in the final of the tournament.

Mohamed Salah spoke in a press conference held on Saturday, saying: “We are very much prepared, all the players are psychologically and physically ready.

And about facing his colleague in Liverpool, Senegal player Sadio Mane, Salah said: "Facing Senegal and Sadio Mane is difficult, and on Sunday we will be competitors. After Morocco's match I met him at the tunnels; and we hoped to meet in the final and now each of us is preparing for his country's victory."

He stressed, "All I focus on is winning the cup with the national team, and all the players have shown their great spirit in previous matches.

Winning the best player or not. This is not my concern about it now. I focus only on Sunday's match, and I only ask the players to focus tomorrow and with the effort made, God willing, we will win the title." .
