CAIRO, 26 July 2021: The Egyptian handball team lost to Denmark 32-27 in the second round of the group stage of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
 
Egypt finished the first half with a goal difference, with a score of 15-14.
 
In the second half, Denmark came back strongly and scored four goals ahead of Egypt at times.
 
In the end, Denmark won by 5 goals with extraordinary brilliance from goalkeeper Nicholas Landen, and Mikel Hansen, star of the team.
 
The victory raised Denmark's balance to 4 points at the top of the second group standings, while Egypt's balance froze at two points in second place temporarily.
 
Egypt will play in the third round with Japan next Wednesday morning, while Denmark will play Bahrain.
