CAIRO - 6 July 2017: Georgia and Portugal were able to gain two precious victories on July 5 in round 2 fixtures played for the U-19 European Championships.

The hosts Georgia started the day with a 2-1 win over Sweden. Giorgi Kokhreidze from Georgia did not wait long to score Georgia's first goal in the match making it 1-0 in the third minute.

His teammate Giorgi Chakvetadze secured the win by scoring the second goal for Georgia in minute 31 making it 2-0 for the hosts. With the start of the second half Viktor Gyokeres from Sweden scored the last goal in the game to make the match end 2-1 to Georgia.

The second and last match of the day saw Portugal win over Czech Republic 2-1. Mesaque Dju from Portugal opened the score of the Portuguese team in minute 35. The response was quick from Czech and after 5 minutes Martin Graciar scored the equalizer.
The Portuguese young talent Rui Pedro gained the victory to Portugal by scoring a decisive goal in minute 74.

With these results, Portugal is first in Group A with 6 points; Czech Republic comes second with 3 points and Georgia third with 3 points and Sweden with zero points at the fourth place.

The tournament is held in Georgia from July 2 to July 15.
