File- LaLiga truck roamed around the streets of Cairo
CAIRO- 7 May 2021- LaLiga brought to Cairo a truck filled with boxes of Ramadan donations to over 50 families in need through the unique LaLiga QR Challenge activation.
A branded LaLiga truck roamed around the streets of Cairo distributing Ramadan food boxes to over 50 Egyptian families.
Once the boxes were delivered, the truck toured around different areas in Cairo were football fans who first spotted the truck and scanned the giant QR code entered a prize draw for the chance to win two match tickets to Spain.
The Ramadan boxes contain a mix of essential foods, herbs, and spices that are used in feasts throughout the Holy month of Ramadan.
The box also includes the Spanish- Arabic football dictionary, edited by LaLiga, Instituto Cervantes and the Embassy of Spain in Cairo, with the idea to bring the Spanish language and LaLiga football teams closer to those receiving the boxes.
“This activation allows fans to win a trip to Spain for two to watch a football match of their favourite Spanish team” said, Juan Fuentes, Delegate of LaLiga to Egypt. We are pleased to offer this chance to Egyptian fans, and of course to spread the spirit of Ramadan across Egypt.”
The truck also promoted the two matches happening this weekend, Real Madrid vs. Sevilla, and Barça vs. Atlético de Madrid, considering the high competition during this season with any one of them going away with the big title.
