CAIRO-10 April 2021: Liverpool Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah scored a goal in Liverpool's 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.

Liverpool came from behind to win the game thanks to goals Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold's goals, which were enough for the Reds to put an end to their poor run at home in the competition.

"Finally we won here. It was a great game, a tough team. We could strike back in the second half and win the game, that’s the most important thing." Salah said after the game.

Liverpool, the defending champions, are in a difficult situation in the league as they are struggling to book a spot in the top four to reach the UEFA Champions League next season.

Salah added "There are only seven games left still, so it’s really important to win. We are fighting for fourth place, we want to play in the Champions League next season."

The Red hope to carry the confidence boost to their mid-week clash against Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The first leg in Madrid ended with a 3-1 win for the Spanish giants and the English champions need to show a reaction in the second leg to stay in the competition.
