CAIRO – 4 July 2017: Unlike his spell with Roma SC, Mohamed Salah will expectedly fall short of playing chances while in Liverpool and unlikely to fit into Premier League, Former Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann said during a club’s program

call-in

on Tuesday.

“That position is also probably the strongest part of Liverpool’s team. With Coutinho, Lallana, Mane and Firmino already there, I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion he [Salah] will play.” He said commenting on Salah’s recent signing to Liverpool.

Earlier in June, the two-month controversy on Salah’s on-off move to Premier League Liverpool has finally got finalized. The 25 year-old ex Roma's winger signed a 5 year contract with Liverpool after reaching an agreement with Roma for $35 million.

“It’s clear he’s a very capable player, but we’ve seen it in recent years that some of the best players came to the Premier League and couldn’t adapt to it.” Hamann added.
Back in 2014, he had previously turned down Liverpool’s offer before playing for Chelsea where he made a minor bit of a history.

“So as much as I’m excited to have him, I’m also a bit cautious.” He added
“There are other areas in that Liverpool team that need addressing – you look at left-back, centre back, centre midfielder and in goal – there are three or four positions that still need addressing and I would have rather seen them addressed before another winger came in.” He concluded.
