Islam Mahrous Appointed as General Manager of The Sheraton Montazah Hotel, Alexandria

Sheraton Montazah Hotel, Alexandria is pleased to announce the promotion of Islam Mahrous as the General Manager. Islam boasts an outstanding background and an extensive experience in the hospitality field where he has worked in several five-star hotels chains in different countries including Libya, UAE, and Egypt.

Having begun his career at 1994, Islam first joined the Intercontinental in Hurghada, Egypt in the Reception department, and from the Front Office Agent, he made his way up to Assistant Front Office Manager, Deputy Director of Guest Services, Six Sigma Green Belt, Director of Operational Innovation and Executive Assistant Manager. 

Additionally, Islam has worked at Sheraton Soma Bay and Sheraton Miramar where he grew through different ranks. 

In 2009, Islam was assigned as Executive Assistant Manager leading the pre and soft opening of Four Points by Sheraton Tripoli, Libya. 

Before moving to head the Sheraton Montazah in Alexandria as Hotel Manager, Islam was the Deputy General Manager of Sheraton Miramar Resort - El-Gouna.

Islam is highly skillful professional holding a Rooms Division Diploma from Glion University and an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science &Technology University in Alexandria, Egypt. 

In addition, he was a member of the Egyptian National Swimming Team and held several distance and speed records under his belt.
