CAIRO, Nov 16 (MENA) - A new museum in Hurghada is set to open by the end of December, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) Mostafa Waziri announced on Saturday.
This is one of the projects the Ministry of Antiquities has for the first time undertaken in cooperation with the private sector, Waziri said.
He added that the museum had been designed in accordance with world-class museum standards to showcase the aesthetic and luxury side of the Egyptian civilization throughout the ages.
The museum will also display manifestations of sports activities, such as river fishing and hunting, as well as music and dance events, as of the Pharaonic era up top modern times, in a bid to draw a relation between different civilizations, Waziri noted.
